For us this project is about contemporary art and happy coincidences. We met Sandra Mann in 2018 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. We were visiting an artist friend, Snežana Glubović who has been our artist in residence at New Space Arts Foundation in 2018 and who introduced us to her. Sandra told us about her project „Waldlife“ and took photo portraits of us in the Frankfurt forest. This was the beginning of a professional friendship, which continues to the present day, and we are sure, will continue into the future. She invited us to participate in an exhibition with her in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The Show „The German Way of Life II“ in the former main customs office / Haus am Dom in Frankfurt questions an established understanding of culture which defines people by their ethnic, national and religious origins and membership. The complex, multimedia works explored how through transnational mobility and networking the congruency between mankind, culture and territory is dissolving. Sandra approached us about doing this collaborative exhibition and we jumped at the opportunity to present our artwork „the Bridge“ from 2016. In return and with support of the Goethe-Institut we invited Sandra Mann to our artist residency New Space Arts Foundation in Hue, Vietnam. Here she got the possibility to work and share contemporary art to the local and international art scene and to local and international guests. We see this project as a means to reveal how an artist and photographer like Sandra Mann conceptualizes „Waldlife“ on a physical level and on a mental level, how the accidental juxtaposition of works can stimulate a dialogue and expand contemporary art combined with nature protection inside all of us.

Dieses Project beinhaltet für uns Zeitgenössische Kunst und Glückliche Begebenheiten. Wir trafen Sandra Mann 2018 in Frankfurt am Main, Deutschland. Wir besuchten eine mit uns befreundete Künstlerin, Snežana Glubović. Sie war unsere Residenz-Künstlerin in der New Space Arts Foundation 2018 und sie machte uns miteinander bekannt. Sandra erzählte uns von ihrem Projekt Waldlife und porträtierte uns im Frankfurter Stadtwald. Das war der Beginn einer beruflichen Freundschaft für uns, die bis zum heutigen Tag anhält und auch in die Zukunft reicht. Sie ludt uns ein, an einer Ausstellung mit ihr in Frankfurt, Deutschland teilzunehmen. Die Ausstellung „The German Way of Life II“ im ehemaligen Hauptzollamt hinterfragt ein überkommenes Kulturverständnis, das Menschen über deren ethnische, nationale und religiöse Herkunft und Zugehörigkeit definiert. Die vielschichtigen, multimedialen Arbeiten thematisierten, wie sich durch transnationale Mobilität und Vernetzung die Deckungsgleichheit von Mensch, Kultur und Territorium in Auflösung befindet. Sandra nahm mit uns Kontakt auf, um diese Gemeinschaftsausstellung zu planen. Wir ergriffen die Gelegenheit unsere Arbeit „The Bridge“, aus dem Jahr 2016 zu präsentieren. Ungefähr zeitgleich setzten wir uns künstlerisch mit dem Phänomen Natur auseinander. Im Gegenzug und mit Unterstützung des Goethe- Instituts machten wir es möglich, dass wir Sandra Mann in unsere Künstler Residenz „New Space Arts Foundation“ in Hue, Vietnam einladen konnten. Hier bekam sie die Möglichkeit zeitgenössische Kunst mit der lokalen, internationalen Kunstzene und lokalen und internationalen Gästen zu teilen. Dieses Projekt bietet der Künstlerin und Fotografin eine Plattform „Waldlife“ auf materieller und geistiger Ebene darzustellen, es zeigt wie ähnliche Kunstkonzepte einen Dialog anstoßen und wie sich zeitgenössische Kunst mit Umwelt- Natur- und Tierschutz kombiniert in einem jeden von uns ausweiten kann.
